Smart City Shopping

Our background

For the past ten years we - Charlotta Carlsen and Pia Stigell - have run a successful travel management consultancy, g3 Travel Management AB, which has helped many companies to reduce their travel costs by negotiating advantageous deals with travel companies.

During our extensive business travels we have always tried to squeeze in some shopping in the cities we visit, and have become increasingly aware that we never really have the time to find the real pearls, even if we have the physical addresses in our hand. Over the years the idea for a guided shopping service has grown; we know that we are not alone in our passion for shopping, and that many besides us would appreciate a simple and easy way to be guided around the best shopping that a new city has to offer.

Our business idea

Our business idea is to give temporary visitors to Stockholm a safe and comfortable way to find the best in Swedish fashion and design. We want our shoppers to see Stockholm from it’s best side. We know Stockholm like the back of our hands, so sit back and let us guide you to the best shopping this wonderful city has to offer.

Our vision

That Smart City Shopping first sees the light of day in Stockholm is natural, as it’s our home town, but we can easily imagine starting Smart City Shopping in other great shopping cities! Who wouldn’t want to be guided round Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki, London, Paris, New York or even Shanghai?

Our partners

In order to get the most of your shopping experience, we can offer guides who are fluent in many different languages. Through our partnership with staffing agency Academic Work we can, at short notice, provide guides in every imaginable language!

Comfortable, secure transport is provided by our partner Interbus, who give us the best solution in mobility for every eventuality. Their drivers’ intimate knowledge of Stockholm helps you get around quickly, comfortably and safely.

To make it easier for our shoppers to take advantage of tax-free shopping, we have a partnership with Global Refund, who help foreign visitors to reclaim VAT on goods purchased for export, both at the point of purchase, and on cruise liners and at airports prior to leaving the country.
